As the Medford area has grown over the years, so has the growth of retail stores. Medford has the largest retail mall between Redding and Eugene housing well over 100 stores. Anchor stores include Meier and Frank, JC Penney, Mervyn's and Linen and Things.
The Medford Urban Renewal Agency has been working on the downtown area of Medford over the last several years. Downtown is the traditional, historic cultural and economic center of Medford and the Rogue Valley. The architectural variety of structures of downtown is of critical importance in creating its unique character and in preserving Medford's heritage. There are over 110 unique specialty stores offering shoes and jewelry to home decor and antique shops and everything in between. With a parking garage nearby, there is never a problem finding a spot to park.

On the other side of town off of Hwy 62 is Costco, Old Navy, Office Depot and Lowe's Home Improvement.
