Phoenix
Phoenix is about half way between Medford and Ashland, just north of Talent. In the 1850s, Phoenix was the hub of the Rogue Valley. The Modoc Indian wars, the Northwest gold rush, the onset of the Civil War and westward migration all played parts in the growth of this frontier town.
Phoenix has moved from its rich historic past into the 21st century by offering a small-town atmosphere with access to rich farm lands with pear orchards and vineyards and pristine mountains offering hunting, hiking, fishing and boating just minutes away.
